A Strong and Sustainable Supply Chain
Improving quality throughout the supply chain
We are striving to improve efficiency and quality across the entire supply chain, as we believe that inefficiency, waste, and inconsistency in food distribution leads to food loss and increased CO2 emissions. In addition to reducing inventories by introducing an order receipt/placement system that incorporates AI-based demand forecasting, we are encouraging the use of machine automation at distribution warehouses, where the labor environment is demanding and securing workers is a major challenge. Through the use of the system, we are also promoting the optimization of transportation and delivery routes and improving the efficiency of all processes in the transportation and delivery field.

Providing Stable Distribution
Mitsubishi Shokuhin has formulated a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) so that, in the event of a disaster, we can ensure smooth initial responses and business continuity, as well as fulfill our responsibility to continue providing customers with products. In particular, we have established guidelines for the operation and maintenance of distribution centers, which are particularly important in the event of a disaster, and have designated the sharing of products with customers as a priority business as well as set up backup DCs* in advance for operations, all while ensuring that human life (safety) remains our top priority.
In addition, we are working hard to ensure business continuity by installing emergency power supplies at 19 major locations nationwide and concluding fuel supply contracts in case of emergencies.
Initiatives for Regional Revitalization
We, Mitsubishi shokuhin, are committed to contributing to the realization of a sustainable society through food business and simultaneously addressing Key Sustainability Issues (Materiality).
Furthermore, under our management plan ‘MS Vision 2030,’ we are dedicated to creating and expanding products and services that address regional issues. We are focused on advancing our efforts towards a sustainable society.
